The last laugh may be on the conservatives. Cantor is still in the House until after the next election and now can push his amnesty with others without having to worry about an election.

That may be true. But nobody will listen to him. His influence is done!
“...Cantor is still in the House until after the next election and now can push his amnesty with others without having to worry about an election.”

NO Republican is going to want to listen to or follow this major league loser now. He’s washed up—pride and losing touch with the base did him in.
And if Cantor had won tonight, he would not have pushed amnesty? The RINOs were going to do to us what they were going to do to us this year anyway, regardless of the primary outcomes. But as of 2015, at least Cantor won't be able to screw us anymore. He's done.

Either way he would push it in the lame duck session.
Like Cantor or anybody in the GOPe would give a damn about that anyway. Corporate money is piling into their bank accounts to support amnesty. Cantor can get himself a nice lobbying job or take some time off and run again in 2 years.
The lesson here is an amnesty booster with every advantage just lost their primary in epic fashion.
He may want to lead a scorched earth lame duck campaign but I seriously doubt anyone will be foolish enough to follow.
So.... conservatives should have not let him lose the primary?
I think having to vociferously counter Cantor for a few months is probably worth it.
Really?
And if he got to keep his seat, he’d have been all milk and cookies with conservatives?
