There was a time when Cantor was a decent right-of-center republican. He simply lost his way and got caught up in the power and oligarchy.

Just heard Campaign Karl say, "Now, the Tea Party will demand to be heard." Hell, they are the PEOPLE. Why should they not be heard? They are the PEOPLE.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Nebraska’s Ben Sasse had the right idea when he suggested that the power of the lobbyists etc should be decentralized by putting the Capitol in the middle of nowhere and/or doing federal business via technology such as Skype so that the power is not all located in one big schmoozing media-political corruptocrazy. (typo but it fits so I’ll leave it. lol)

Mike Johanns had the same thing happen to him as happened to Cantor; he got to DC and the schmoozing corrupted him. Happens to all of them unless the people find a way to tell them who they work for and who can easily fire them.
