Yet there was no Democratic to oppose Cantor. At least the VA 7th district dem headquarters states there was no petition filed.
What can change?

If there is no opposition to Brat, we are OK.

There was no democratic primary. VA is an open primary and, according to a Slate mag blog, dems were asked to cast votes against cantor in todays primary.
The Dem committee nominated their candidate for the general election. Somebody named trammel.
Guess we will see in Nov if it pays off for them.
