IMHO, the sense of Genesis II:24 is singular.

The ideal marriage in Torah is probably that of Isaac and Rebecca, which was completely monogamous. Otherwise, marriage problems prevail throughout the Pentateuch, usually impacting the lives of often thousands in the negative sense.

On would think there's a lesson in that, but that so much fewer actually know it, and even fewer take it to heart.

I don’t think you know your Bible very well. God gave David his wives - it’s hard to consider that not approving of it. It was David’s taking of another man’s wife that got him into trouble.
