Dianne Feinstein stated exactly that, in a 1995 interview with 60 Minutes. in which she stated, quote:
"If I could have gotten 51 votes in the Senate of the United States for an outright ban, picking up every one of them . . . Mr. and Mrs. America, turn 'em all in, I would have done it. I could not do that. The votes weren't here."

More recently, we have Pres. Obama voicing is admiration and desire for Australian-style "gun control", which just happened to be governement seizure & destruction of firearms.
It would appear that this "fresh young" candidate is woefully misinformed.
I expect to see a demodummie ousting Young.
My first thought was “we need to get porkers like Young out more than we need his vote in the House.” But once I started reading the article, it became clear that this kid is too much of an ignorant, naive jerk for me to root for.
