As North Carolina lawmakers debated a proposal to prevent charter schools from discriminating against applicants based on sexual orientation, one representative suggested Tuesday that adult sexual attraction to children is a sexual orientation like homosexuality.
The amendment was tabled by Republicans, preventing a vote on it. But during the debate, Republican Rep. Paul Stam, R-Wake, said pedophilia, masochism and other illegal sexual practices are sexual orientations like homosexuality and he questioned the role adults who are sexually attracted to children might have in schools.
Several lawmakers called those comments offensive. After the House session, Twitter lit up with criticism of Stam's comments from other lawmakers and left-leaning advocacy groups.

The “Big Tent” should be torn down!!! I don’t believe this was ever the intent of that phrase.
Like it or not, the Left has opened up the floodgates.
Every imaginable sexual perversion is now in the queue for legitimacy.
Once homosexuality was not only “normalized” but celebrated, the logic for banning any form of consentual sexual activity was effectively jettisoned.
In fact, how do laws against prostitution have any standing anymore?

True. Of course pedophilia is not consensual under the law, or to those with common sense.
So they will first work on changing the age of consent.
The pedophiles have an ally in Eric Holder. He recently gave a speech at an LGBT conference, lamenting the prohibition of homosexual boy scout leaders.
It shines a whole new meaning on "boy scout".

“In your face”, as a strategy, seems to work, if pursued long enough and with enough enthusiasm. I could give a flying - whatever - what somebody believes or does, PRIVATELY. But when it reaches out and touches persons otherwise not of that persuasion, or not of sound and reasoned adult perspective, then it becomes a form of aggressive behavior, not to be countenanced or permitted. Just another form of bullying, and isn’t that something that the “pious pornographers” have called upon the rest of us to stop doing?
The social contract has been largely unstated up to now, but there comes a time when “enough is enough”. Behave in a civilized manner, and shut up about it. Behave in a distinctly uncivilized manner, behind closed doors, and shut up about it.

Amazing how what was only recently a mental illness - like the “transgendered” phenomenon - suddenly becomes just another orientation to be celebrated and legally protected.

I’d love to see a school or business state that they do not discriminate on the basis of sex, religion, age, bestiality, homosexuality, pedophillia, necrophillia or any other similar type orientations.
Pedophilia does not involve consenting adults.
It involves someone who is helpless just as rape does.
That fact that this has to be stated is pathetic.
They may need a little western vigilante justice on the city square.
Heck, 10 years ago. 5 years ago Obama said he was against Sodomite “marriage”. Everyone knew he was lying, but had to get the black preachers cover so they could tell their congregations to vote for him.
Anyway, you’re totally right. I would think polygamy was next if it wasn’t for the fact that Sodomites also like kids. There’s enough of a movement to emancipate kids from their parents that I can see that happening. Will decent people finally take their kids out of public schools when sex ed includes live demonstrations?
When a 4 year old boy can choose to be a girl, and everyone around is forced to pretend he’s a girl, why can’t a 4 year also consent to sex? See what they’ve done?
