Cannon is correct but out of date. More proper would be artillery (or gun) or more exact howitzer.
Cannon is correct, Howitzer is common. Guns are on the deck of a ship.
Naval Gun can be fired at a somewhat, high angle of attack, but are better suited for direct fire...kinda like a rifle.
