Obama wants us to know -- to really, truly know -- that we are a banana republic with no hope of a political solution to our political, legal and economic problems.
He wants civil war. He's pushing us toward that. And let's be clear -- if he imposes martial law, disarms every American, turns us into slaves, and successfully establishes an open dictatorship, that would make him happy.
But that's not expected, and it's not his only winning outcome.
He's willing to lose. Lose everything. Just having the civil war would be victory enough, no matter what the outcome is. Because it would rip us apart, kill many Americans, and permanently weaken us. The country created by the Founding Fathers would be finished, and the land blessed by God would be no more.
He's pushing us toward open revolt, and he doesn't care very much if he wins or loses the fight. He just wants to kick off the conflict -- and he's counting on us to do it.
He's frustrated that it is taking us so long -- and the outrages will continue until he finally pushes us past our limits. Obama keeps asking himself, "What's it going to take??"

Raila Odinga is married to Ida Odinga (born Ida Anyango Oyoo). They have four children - two sons and two daughters.
