I’ve been thinking alot lately of the story of Sodom & Gommorah in the Bible and it strikes me that we’re doing the same thing in this society as it pertains to APPEASEMENT of gays.
In the story, the homos are banging on the door demanding the angels come out so they can have sex with them and the guy offers, meekly, his daughter, trying to appease them instead of crushing them. We’re doing the same thing; appeasement.

No doubt. Good is being called evil and evil is being called good.
I read it as a mocking gesture of graciousness... he offered *women* to the sodomites, and they were NOT amused. Kind of like offering jobs to lazy entitlement ingrates - the offer may be technically valid, but it will be predictably rejected, as it only makes 'em mad.
As was mentioned up thread, some people *want* to park in the wrong spot. Lot's "gracious offer" highlighted that fact.
