Moses the Unaccompanied Minor and the Ten Plagues
American Thinker ^ | July 27. 2014 | Jeannie DeAngelis

On behalf of illegal unaccompanied minors flooding our southern border, liberals are currently citing Jesus in Matthew 19:14 saying, “Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”

Using that particular verse is problematic because America is not the “kingdom of heaven,” and regardless of the age or economic status of the children, Jesus would never approve of the type of lawless chaos the left is currently promoting.

Nonetheless, that has not curtailed the sermonizing of Biblical scholar/House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.

Recently, by quoting the Conference Bishops, a group of Catholic theologians she totally disregards when it comes to abortion, Mrs. Pelosi attempted to portray illegal unaccompanied minors, some of whom are rapists, murderers, robbers, and MS-13 gang members and all of whom are currently disregarding our nation’s sovereignty, as “baby Jesus.”

Assigning the likes of 14-year-old Mexican assassin El Ponchis types “baby Jesus” status is probably considered very apt in liberal circles. However, the comparison is a bit of a stretch, even for Mrs. Pelosi, who has personally endured quite a bit of ‘stretching’ herself.

With a nod to the Jewish tradition, after covering the New Testament Mrs. Pelosi backtracked to Exodus and assigned the deluge of illegal children rushing our southern border the refugee status she feels was granted Moses, who, like Jesus, escaped death by fleeing to Egypt.

Exodus 2:10 says, “When the child grew older… Pharaoh's daughter … named him Moses, saying, ‘I drew him out of the water.’”

John 10:1 answers that nicely.

The Bible also says tempt not the Lord thy God. Every time Pelosi tries to say something spiritual, she is tempting the Lord to strike her with lightning, so one should not stand too close to her when she foams at the mouth.

I recall Twain saying something about there being plenty of lightning, it's just poorly distributed.

Read the bible Nancy, Moses escaped death by fleeing from Egypt.

Jesus did indeed flee to Egypt, along with Mary and Joseph but Moses fled from.

Why doesn’t she read the story about Moses and Edom? Moses requested permission to enter Edom’s borders. He didn’t just sneak across the border; he asked. He also promised Edom that if allowed to enter, he and his people would not hurt or inconvenience the Edomites in any way, (unlike today’s illegals, who enter without permission, trash the border area, commit crimes, take jobs, etc., etc., etc.) When Edom still said “no,” Moses respected their wishes—even though he surely thought they were being unfair—and he led the people all the way around Edom.
