Americans really wish they had elected Mitt Romney instead of Obama

Americans are so down on President Obama at the moment that, if they could do the 2012 election all over again, they'd overwhelmingly back the former Massachusetts governor's bid. That's just one finding in a brutal CNN poll, released Sunday, which shows Romney topping Obama in a re-election rematch by a whopping nine-point margin, 53 percent to 44 percent. That's an even larger spread than CNN found in November, when a survey had Romney winning a redo 49 percent to 45 percent.

You're confusing Romney with McCain, who didn't want to stand in the way of American's 1st black Pres.

I'm a Cruz guy, but Mitt would have been good on most of the critical issues. It's so sad.

Sorry, the country needs someone who knows what they want to do with the job from day one, has the people who can do it, and has the balls to really really hurt the people who need hurting.

Romney is a no-nuts loser with a misplaced sense of noblesse oblige and no stomache for what actually needs to be done.

Mitt is a socialist almost as bad a Obama. I wouldn’t want him any more than Obama.

Whatever he might be, Romney a.) doesn't hate America, b.) doesn't hold a special animus for white Americans and c.) isn't a Communist.

Romney managed to lose an election that republicans couldn’t lose.

Coming out against the GOP pro-life platform and for abortion and running pro-choice ads in Ohio, Virginia, and Wisconsin, and reminding us that he supported gay Scout leaders, were among his in your face attacks against voters after he won the nomination.

Well Obama has taught us many things:

Our founding fathers were right. They wrote the Constitution the way they did for a reason; to stop tyrants. all of the rights reinforce each other.

He taught us what we don’t ever want again in a president.

We need to examine any candidate’s background and beliefs before they are elected. Any candidate running for public office should give full disclosure of their identity, their background, and their political affiliations

He taught us that executive privilege needs to be reviewed and changed.

How evil and deceptive the left really is.

To never again trust the MSM.

-— Of course, if Romney HAD won, these same folks would probably be whining how much they wish Obama had won. -—

Yup. This probably reflects the fact that “my life is sucky,” rather than any conservative epiphany.

romney was my last “least of two evils” vote.

He would have been abundantly better than zero...

... in that the march toward Armageddon would have been slower.

But we still would have been marching toward Armageddon.

That sums up my feelings as well, and I would STILL vote for him in order to keep Obama out.

“Whatever he might be, Romney a.) doesn’t hate America, b.) doesn’t hold a special animus for white Americans and c.) isn’t a Communist.”

I agree and wish he were in the Oval office over `Bam-bam’,
but I don’t know why we keep revisiting and flogging this issue. It’s neither here nor there now, contentious and divisive. Willard’s not a viable candidate now.

The argumentum ad baculum: We’re all here because we like Free Republic and tend to agree.
And owner `Jim Thompson’ has made it clear that Mitt Romney is no conservative and FR does not support him.
There it is.

Argument is supposed to be productive, so why argue over nothing?

Romney or any other Rino will be part of the NWO, just like Obama, maybe not as aggressive in their destruction yet they will implement.... one needs to know that both sides are bringing in the North American Union. Look at the Mormon church symbals and you will see Free Masonry (NWO).

Do the research and that’s all I have to say about it.

Hard to believe that those who were dumb enough to vote for him are smart enough to realize they made a mistake.

Mitt is a socialist almost as bad a Obama. I wouldn’t want him any more than Obama.

then you are part of the problem. WE have a muzzie in the WH - MANY muzzies in the WH. Bit by bit, they're turning our country and much of the world over to Islam.

But you wouldn't want Romney any more than obummer?

Seems an Ignorant statement.

The annoying part is an every hour or two re-posting of a story linked to by a popular site like Drudge. Or the case of some lame Hollywood movie that ended up with about 40(!) different threads.

There was a time, when Ann Coulter was queen of F.R., that her articles, same title, same source, would be posted ten times or more.

After Clinton beat H.W. Bush in 1992 and the Reagan/Bush years were done, Romney reregistered Republican in October of 1993, deciding that he would enter elective politics as a Republican instead of democrat.

In his more than 20 years of running, he has won a single election, didn’t reach 50% in that, and after polling for reelection, he gave up that dream and left office with 34% approval, and after 4 republican governors in a row, he turned Massachusetts over to a democrat.
