The way I heard the story, he was golfing, and couldn’t be bothered, even though aides told him it was a narrow opportunity window.
Anyone else remember this?

That's from Buzz Patterson's book: "Dereliction of Duty".

Yeah, Bill Clinton could have been a great president. He is a political genius and he read every biography of every president he could get his hands on. However, he chose the side of the lesser angels. When good and honest historians in the future compare him to all the other presidents, he will be deemed about the worst. Obama will be noted as the worst.

Thanks. What’s the under/over on accuracy?

I remember that as well....but this is audio proof that he didn’t kill him. Don’t matter for what reason.

I remember when a book came out, after 9/11, and he denied he was given an opportunity. Hannity, I recall, kept it going, almost nightly, with his “silver platter” talking point.
Well the tape refutes Clinton’s denial. But what else is new? He’s a professional liar.

If he "did everything he responsibly could" to kill bin Laden, why was Sandy Berger stealing documents from the archives? What information was in those documents? What's in the 28 missing pages from the 9/11 report?
We really need to know.

The "Dereliction of Duty" take is dead on based upon what I know of Buzz Patterson. I don't think these two events are the same, FWIW.

I know in one case Clinton stopped a planned cruise missile strike on OBL because he was encamped in the desert with some Saudi royals and Clinton was afraid of killing Saudi VIP’s.

“He is a political genius and he read every biography of every president he could get his hands on.”
Precisely the kind of person who I personally wouldn’t want as a President. I give Clinton credit for getting through the difficult time he did in his youth (losing his father in a car accident, defending his mother from her abusive alcoholic husband, etc.), but his willingness later in his life to use people for his own gain is not indicative of the kind of person who I want to see in the White House.
