"Yazidi is Kurdish for 'Unarmed Israeli'"
American Thinker ^ | 8/10/2014 | Clarice Feldman

So said the brilliant Iowahawk this week as most people of the world watch in horror the spectacle of 40,000 members of this beleaguered Iraqi minority huddled without food or water on rocky Sinjar mountaintops. Below them the savages of ISIS kidnap Yazidi women, raping them and selling them into slavery. Heads of children ISIS decapitated are displayed on pikes in public parks and there are reports of distraught families tossing their beloved babies from mountaintops rather than watch them slowly starve to death.

This barbarism comes after tens of thousands of Christians were raped, murdered, driven from their ancestral homes and stripped of all their possessions by ISIS.

The president took a brief respite from his heavy fundraising, golf, and vacation schedule to order some bombs dropped on Erbil to protect Americans there and some food drops for the Yazdis, but with no real plan. His was obviously a response to the horror the crimes inspired in Americans tempered by domestic political concerns -- the obvious distaste for the exercise U.S. military power he and his base share.

The WaPo editors deplore Obama's "half measures" in Iraq:

Obama’s authorization of Iraq airstrikes isn’t connected to a coherent strategy ....

Isn't he wonderful! Lord Obama gives us free abortions and birth control. Then, he is letting ISIS and HAMAS kill all those evil/judgemental Christians and Jews.

An excellent comment to that piece by mebenhack re Obama's interview by Thomas Friedman:

"Intervening in Libya to prevent a massacre was the right thing to do, Obama argued, but doing it without sufficient follow-up on the ground to manage Libya’s transition to more democratic politics is probably his biggest foreign policy regret."

As mebenhack notes:

That Obama could say this and Friedman report it, with neither having the self awareness to see the utter hypocrisy it represents is mind boggling.

Obama spent the last four years of the Bush administration and the first 6 of his own blaming George W. Bush for every evil known to mankind, most specifically his war in Iraq, and Mr. Friedman, being the dutiful progressive he is, spread this message far and wide.

And now here is Mr. Obama saying that basically not going full GW Bush in Libya "is probably his biggest foreign policy regret," with no sense of irony whatsoever and Mr. Friedman just shovels it right out the door with absolutely zero reflection.

LIBERALS = HYPOCRISY GALORE

Along the same lines, the referenced acronym in the article, FUQ, Frequently Unasked Question, exposes the corrupt and hypocritical media nicely.

And the true faced of Islam beams forth ... the father of lies, a murderer from the start is the father of Islam. These atrocities should remove any doubts, but the media will twist the facts in their presentations so as to misdirect and defuse what is right before our eyes, the evil at the heart of Islam.

I've thought this for some time. I've also wondered whether free abortion and contraception on demand isn't a part of his strategy to invert Christian demographics in waging war against the good while encouraging the high birth rates and multiple wives of Islamic culture.

Odumbo thoughts.........”What Difference Does It Make, they’re only Christians”..........

I suspect there is more truth to that “thought” than one knows.

Does anyone know if those air drops actually got to those who are stranded on those mountains or did they get dropped so ISIS can get them?

Words cannot describe my distain for odumbo and his ilk.

This is one of the reasons why I am very, very thankful for the NEW media of the internet and talkradio. They are both driving the OLD media CRAZY.

but the media will twist the facts

If you tell a lie often enough, loudly enough and with enough conviction it becomes truth.

Obama’s authorization of Iraq airstrikes isn’t connected to a coherent strategy ....

Attempting to connect Obama and coherence in anything other than his ego and campaigning is a massive FAIL! Oh, I forgot, add golf to that list as well.

By-the-by, any word out from all of the Muslim organizations in Europe on condemnation of ISIS?

What I keep seeing online on news site comments is leftist nutjobs who believe that it’s ok that Christians are being slaughtered now because of the Inquisition there was hundreds of years ago. I think this is idiotic. Everything bad that happens in western countries is blamed on Christians by these lunatics. Who here believes Hitler was a Christian?

It is also interesting to note that on July 25th the White House wrote to Congress seeking the repeal of the existing authorization of force in Iraq. Probably so the President could subsequently say "Congress removed my authorization to do anything" as a cover for his inaction.

Copy of Letter
