The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has written to complain to the US Postmaster General, after receiving widespread reports that US post offices around America have been refusing to accept mail to Israel.
In the last several days ADL reports that it has received complaints from Massachusetts, Michigan and New Jersey, revealing postal customers were incorrectly told that the US Postal Service is not accepting mail for Israel due to Operation Protective Edge in Gaza.
"The postal employees have told these individuals that current USPS policy says that mail to Israel cannot be accepted because of the current crisis,” said Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director.
Foxman added that "only once employees sought clarification from supervisors in Washington did these post offices accept packages and letters to Israel."

At least the employees refused the mail rather than circular-filing it.

More than 25 years ago, when I tried to mail a package to my family, I was told by the mail worker I could not write “ROC” on the package.
I was so ashamed at that time, no fault of mine and I’m the paying customer. And the incident bothered me all these years.
Now if it happens to me again, I would demand his name and would insist on talking to his supervisor, or branch manager.
Not delivering the mail isn’t likely to bolster support for their position, is it?
Unreliable service is why important business and legal documents are often sent FedEx or UPS instead of thru the USPS.
Automatic grounds for dismissal is bias to deliver mail.

I find it annoying that even during the Olympics, the team from Taiwan isn’t allowed to carry their country’s flag.

This sounds like one of the sneaky, underhanded things that the Obamanites like to do, like operation check point, fast and furious, etc. ad nauseum.
