They should have hired Greta Van Susteren. They would have enjoyed the PR spin from being the first Sunday news show with a female host. Plus Greta can be hard nosed in her questioning and seems to try to be balanced. I do perceive her as more independent from inside the beltway progressive groupthink than most reporters.

NBC might be surprised at the audience bump they’d get with an objective host who challenged both the left and right wing positions. However, they’d likely find the leftists would refuse to appear on the show.

All of the Sunday morning news shows would benefit from having new Republican faces. I’m tired of seeing McCain, Graham, and occasionally Orrin Hatch. Doesn’t the Republican Party have a Senator or Congressman who is knowledgable and articulate plus an engaging on the air personality?

Yes, but they won't invite Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, or Trey Goudy.
