The saga of University of California, Santa Barbara feminist studies professor Mireille Miller-Young has taken yet another bizarro twist after her defenders urged a judge to excuse the criminal allegations against her because of the “cultural legacy of slavery.”
Miller-Young pleaded no contest last month to misdemeanor counts of battery, theft and vandalism after she rallied up a small gaggle of female vigilantes and attacked abortion protesters Thrin Short, 16, and Joan Short, 21.
Miller-Young, who specializes in queer theory, black film and pornography, apparently failed to mention either “racial hatred” or “right-wing political sentiment” when she speaking to police about the event in March just after it initially happened.

I had heard that they still had slaves in California but I thought that Professors were the ones that were awarded them with tenure.

The letters that her “colleagues” wrote to the judge to explain and excuse her behavior are positively inane. She’s not the only moron on the faculty.
Notice that her lawyer was begging the judge to *not* force her to attend anger management classes. However, that may be the best punishment of all.
A self-important, arrogant, entitled egotist, forced to endure the nattering whining of some other leftist, whose only measure of success is “improvement”, which means that she will have to admit she “has a problem”, and has a multitude of anger issues that “she must overcome” before her counselor will agree to let her go.
She might try to strangle her counselor before the week is up. Anything instead of having to own up to her own deficiencies.
