Yes, but I don’t he and his comrades have thought this all the way though.
Without our stabilizing influence the world could quickly degenerate to anarchy no one has even seen.
Think of of the fall of Rome with the added fun of nuclear warfare breaking out.
He and his supporters will be known as the initiators of a new dark age.
I’m not saying this to be argumentative at all. I see it differently, but I’m just tossing it out there for consideration.
He will never see the dark age for what it is. In his mind those bad things would have happened anyway. As is his MO, he will never see his part in it. He will not be responsible for that, in his conscience.
What he will see is the ascendance of Islam. He will be thrilled that he leveled the playing field. He sees no moral difference between Western and Islamic world view. He wants Islam to have a bigger slice of the pie, because he thinks the world would be better for it.
Note that it took a lot of arm twisting for him to even make a pretense of standing up to ISIS/ISIL.
Remember that this man actually claimed Islam played a big role in the founding of our nation. He’s that freaking clueless about the moral equivelancy of “Christian” vs “Islamic” ideologies and the governments that are inhabited by their followers.
With some small areas of light in it though.
