Dungy is doing penance for his comments about Michael Sam. He’s in rehab, and he knows it.

we will be reduced to communicating with facial gestures and hand signals. I believe Johnny Manziel has already started.

So racist. If I was an American Indian, I would protest them.

Fire their assess. That’s like a news reporter refusing to call the Protesters in Ferguson, MO, “Protestors” so he call them “Active Observers”. Simms sucks more as a broadcaster than he did a an overrated player. Dungy.... well, he’s a “minority” so he feels like he has to “sympathize”.

But they all like that big fat paycheck. Hypocrites all!!
To: mykroar
Dungy said he'd "try" not to use the word.
A challenge for those on the show with them -- see if you can trick them into say the "r-word."
The home audience can play along too. A new drinking game is born.

In my world (yes, I know a large part of is fantasy-based), an athlete playing for the Redskins would refuse to be interviewed by someone who wont call his team by name.
Oh, but there's a better way. Accept the interview. And answer as follows:
Q: Well, that was quite the comeback after a tough third quarter. What made the difference?
A: Two words: Redskin Pride. When you are a Redskin, with Redskin supporters backing you even when down, you think of the Redskins of old, and it gives you the strength to be better, the strength of the Redskin tradition that we always strive to live up to."
Q: So, the Washington tradition and fan base helps you in what way, specifically?
A: There isn't a "Washington" tradition. After all, the team began in Boston. It is our Redskin tradition when the first NFL marching theme, "Hail to the Redskins" is played. If the team packed up and moved to Honolulu tomorrow, we'd still be the Redskins. We go back to the leatherhead days of the '30s, and no slick packaged western expansion team that angled its way into the Eastern division can draw upon that, and we proved it today.

How about refer to them as “losers”. They’ll be doing a lot of that this year.

How long have they been sportscasters? Did they never use the word before the current controversy? If they did, does that mean they’re really “racists” at heart and now just cow-towing to political correctness? And finally, how is that any different than Paula Deen using the N-word over 30 years ago, but doesn’t now?

This whole political liberalism of the NFL is really spoiling the game for me. I love football, I can’t help it. I love high school football, college football, pro football...all of it! My husband and I look forward all summer to the start of football season. But sheesh, we are only in the pre-season and I’m already sick of their political correctness!!!
