In the interest of "safety", government is yet again proposing that we destroy another one of our unalienable rights, the right to travel in private. As we see with the NSA, the only way to prevent government from giving itself a pass when it comes to protection of our privacy is to prevent them from having access to the means to do so. Leviathan parasitic government will always exempt itself from its own rules. This also applies to schemes to collect road use taxes by the use of a GPS device as some lawmakers have proposed.

And, this is why I will keep buying cars from the 1980s and early 2000s.

I’ll reinstall mine upside down and backwards and have the transmit time delayed one week.

I want my America back!

Let’s close or restrict funding to these fascists agencies.

If there was ever a case for civil disobedience, this is it.

A government agency.

For when your grades and performance were so abysmal that no private enterprise would have you.

Folks, they’ll do what they can to us until we return it back in spades.

All it takes is one car not broadcasting to break this and create even more safety issues. Privacy aside, it is a terrible idea to depend on broadcast information for safety reasons.

Seriously, how do they plan to collect, store & retrieve all this data?

Oh, I forgot, this is all about targeting “enemies of the state” (i.e. Conservatives).

I originally thought that technology would herald in a golden age for the little guy, by enabling him to compete with the giants. It took a while, but now I see how technology is diminishing our freedoms, not just by tracking us, but in numerous other ways.

We have traded a middle class with a high measure of security in those things necessary to life and the starting and raising of families—like security in the workplace, in housing, in healthcare, in transportation, in education, in food supplies, in energy—for having to work like rats or have your job outsourced and take months to never to find a new job, to huge student debt, crushing medical costs, housing bubbles, cars that cost what houses once cost, rising grocery prices (seems every item I put in my basket is the better part of $5), sky high energy bills, and fancy electronic gizmo's.

It all reminds me how Native Americans were gulled into trading what was really important in their lives for glittering trinkets.

Your ipads and other consumer electronics are the glittering trinkets of the day, which by the back door, have turned our once healthy lives of real prosperity (prosperity in the real necessities of life) upside down.

I think this is a very good idea. Why? It will save trees!

Yes, that’s right! Save trees.

If your car automatically tracks you for the U.S. Gestapo it will do away with their future plans to ask for your “papers” when you left a controlled area to visit friends or go to the store. It will save manpower by eliminating the manpower to actually check your papers (two to hold you while one checks the validity of your papers).

See, it’s not so bad after all. Get in a single line and keep your mouths shut and don’t say anything the government disapproves of. Look straight ahead and move along.
