National Review Online ^ | Aug 28, 2014 | Andrew C. McCarthy

Government coercion of the financial sector to make irresponsible loans was the primary driver of the 2007-08 financial meltdown.

Now we learn that Eric Holder, the Tom Hagen of this racketeering enterprise of an administration, is using the vig that DOJ muscle is extorting from the banks to pour tens of millions of dollars into the coffers of the radical Left’s top rabble-rousers – in addition to diverting what should be public funds to pay off delinquent debts in cities that Democrats have destroyed.

I really want to feel bad for these bankers as they have all been clearly shaken down by this administration and only Lord knows where that money is going.

However - it is these same guys who walked Obama up and down Wall Street, introducing him as "their guy" and raised millions for both of his elections. They must have thought they were purchasing their own version of protection but should have known better.

And - they will jump into bed with Hillary for 2016 so, I just can't summon the sympathy for them.

It’s an all-out push for Communism. Where we can all be equal behind barbed wire, hungry and monitored.

Every Leftist secretly has a passion for Uncle Joe’s squashing the opposition and making every pay for their own ambitions, when the State owns you.

So we have IRS targeting conservative groups, EPA and OSHA squeezing conservative business owners, and now DOJ taking money from banks and giving it to leftist activist groups to influence the next election. I’m sure GOP will get right on it!

Don’t feel bad for them. The banksters paid Obama-Holder off to look the other way. There was no shake-down, there was a payoff among heads of criminal rings. Like mafia dons settling a score. No one is a good guy here. The good guys were shoved aside and forced out.

And you’re right about B of A. They are criminals without doubt.

...how many Americans probably support Holder...

Actual Americans? Probably none.

Anti-Americans? Probably all of them.

How is it that the DoJ gets to disburse the money? Once the penalty amount is settled on, doesn't it go into the Treasury for disbursement?

Where is the segregation of duties on this?

I saw that. My question is, is the check written to the United States Treasury or to Eric Holder?

If it's to the Treasury, then a whole lot more people are involved, because Holder can't just withdraw from the Treasury like it's his own bank account.
