Former Israeli Ambassador Urges Withdrawal from Judea-Samaria (Michael Oren)

The efficacy and threat level of the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel has heightened after Operation Protective Edge in Gaza, Former Israeli Ambassador to the US Dr. Michael Oren stated Monday—and allegedly justifies a withdrawal from Judea and Samaria.

Israel’s economic, political, and cultural status has already been damaged existentially across the globe, Oren warned, due to the constant campaigns for “Israel Apartheid Week” on college campuses and European divestment from the Jewish state. […]

Hamas consciously declared victory in its PR campaign against Israel several weeks ago, after it encouraged ordinary Gazans to become human shields, then peddled false information on “civilian casualties” to the international media.

Oren insisted, however, that the PA has placed Israel’s political credibility far more at stake, via the highly cited, but inaccurate, assumption that a criminal trial in the International Criminal Court (ICC) against Israel would harm Israel more than it harms the Palestinian leadership itself. …

Maybe if the lefties in the US government had not supported “BDS” in the first place (John Kerry chief among them), then it would have lost its legs?

Won’t matter. If anything it will cause the BDS folks to redouble their efforts. Their aim is the total elimination of Israel.

No ! No withdrawal from Judea and Samaria ! The Arabs need to withdraw from Judea and Samaria . They ALL need to go to Arabia , where they came from . No surrender of the lands of Israel to these wicked undeserving people ! THEY need to go . It was a huge mistake to let even a single one of them stay in 1967 . Israel will never know peace with these Arab communities festering within her borders . Individuals maybe ok , but entire dedicated communities , no . Egypt offered the Pals a big chunk of Sinai . They need to say YES , and move there .

Their aim is the total elimination of Israel.

That's a really bad side to be on.

I understand that Israel has a heavy-hitter on their side. THE heavy-hitter.

Good! and convert Judaea and Samaria into a bigger badder Gaza with room for many times more rocket launchers and more border to smuggle them under.

Judea/Samaria is not only the heartland of Israel, it is the high ground from which the enemy IslamoNazis will fire thousands of rockets missiles and bombs into Israel’s cities
(Didn’t Oren see the thousands of bombs hitting Israel from Gaza recently, it led to a mini=war....and Oren should be informed that there are tens of thousands more bombs aimed at Israel’s people...just over her northern border, too.

Giving away Samaria/Judea therefore won’t happen.
Oren is smart guy who obviously can figure out this won’t, can’t happen.

So why do these people keep promoting this useless (and excruciatingly repetitive) poppycock? Apparently since they can’t actually achieve Israel’s destruction, they just like to hear their voices advocating measures that would enable, facilitate, or lead to her annhiliatrion (or at least which make noises attacking Israel’s right to exist).

Sort of like if you can’t play the tuba in the band, you can still blow your kazoo from the sidelines.

Flush all the IslamoNazis, their (largely purchased) western poliical suck-ups, and yes the Jewish self=haters who seek to weaken Israel. Flush them all to hell!

I also think that the whole ISIS thing has woken people up to the fact that the Muslims aren’t cute and fuzzy bunnies. The massacre of Christians really brought it home.

Problem is, most will go back to denial about the dangers of Islam once ISIS is contained.

ISIS is not all of Islamic terrorism by far. They were doing what the others were doing; the only difference was the media paid attention to their declaration of a “Caliphate” rather than, let’s say, Iran’s.

Because giving up Gaza worked so well. See the West Bank’s proximity to Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

A withdrawal won't end the BDS movement, unless Oren is suggesting a withdrawal to the 1948 lines. At which point Israel would be the boycott target.

So he wants Hamas-stan in the East able to hit all of Israel? Does he imagine this won’t lead to worse PR?
