To me, the difference between the ‘violence of the Bible’ and that found in the Koran is that no Christian denominations are out there actively preaching the elimination of the followers of Mohammed.

The difference between the violence in the bible and the violence in the koran is that the koran instructs them when to commit violence to others. In the bible, the violence is history, except for the stoning instructions, which do not apply to Christians.

The violence in the Old Testament, also, is not a command from God,
but an historical account.
Also a big difference.
Jesus said “love your enemy”.
