MAVNI is not a new program suddenly opening military service up to potentially dangerous foreign nationals, however. Started in 2008 under the administration of President George W. Bush, the initiative recruits individuals who emigrated to the U.S. with their parents before the age of 16; specifically, it now targets persons approved under the 2012 Deferred Action for Child Arrivals Act (DACA). The goal of MAVNI is to locate and enroll people with specialized skills, particularly highly valued medical and linguistic skills, for military service to the U.S. The initiative unveiled in September 2014 expands the program and extends it past the end of the 2014 fiscal year.

I agree with you being in the same situation. However, I blame Dick Nixon for this. No Draft = No Responsibility. The Romney, Sununu, etc. families don’t feel like manning the force, who does that leave. This will only serve to drive out more of the normal folks who are fed up with being forced to revere aberrant subcultures.

Since everyone joining is screened for a Secret clearance I don’t see how any of them would be eligible. But then again Bath House Barry couldn’t get a clearance either as his background is hidden.
Back when it used to matter, and the rules were followed, over half of Clinton's White House staff could not even get a Confidential security clearance, much less Secret or Top Secret - so tainted were their backgrounds and sins.
Obama's crew may be tried for treason some day.
Did you read what I posted? We don’t need illegal aliens in our military when they could be consultants. Get it? So far as I’m concerned, we should be TWICE as careful when dealing with illegal immigrants who might be Islamic nutjobs. Why put them in the base when they could be consultants and help through remote electronic communication? There’s no reason to put them in our barracks unless communications are routinely jammed for crying out loud.
That’s where I’m at, After a decade of voting for liberals just because there was an R involved.
I’m going one step further - next year, we will live a simple life, keeping our taxable income low and not paying taxes to this fascist government. I realize not everyone can do this, but quitting feeding the beast is the only way out of this that I can see.
