Hong Kong Spring - hope this turns out well ...
Tiananmen Square did not turn out well.
Every one of these I keep asking, is this the ‘Black Swan’ ...
Unfortunately, China will probably put a stop to it soon.
Obama wishes he was President of China
Here is the Hong Kong live site:

The citizens of Hong Kong are about to learn the same lesson that the Tianamen protestors did in 1989, that the ChiCom is ruthless in crushing any opposition and don’t care a whit about the PR optics in so doing.
I wonder what Jack Ma has to say about these protesters.
Confusian Say: “The nail that stands up, will get hammered down ...”
I was just over there in August and walked into the middle of one of these protest. They are very well attended by the Hong Kong police. Did not see any military.
Great Britain should have welched on the deal. The ChiComms would have if the tables were turned.
The video looks pretty dull. Like they are waiting on line for a new iPhone.
I remember being in HK in the 70’s. Those asian girls with British accents were really a ‘turn-on’ ... just sayin ...
Were you there on R&R by any chance?
It’s 3 AM there.
And the field of view must show at least 2000+ people, and there is very little room left for anyone else.
Mostly young people (shorts, backpacks, walk quickly)
This is a serious protest.
Protestors talking amongst themselves, no one speaking or anything organized right now.
Where were these demonstrators when Hong Kong was transferred over to Communist rule in Beijing?
What did they think was going to happen?
Liberty Call !!! (USN)
Covering the “hand-over” for NYC’s local CBS news program, anchorbabe Dana Tyler commented, “looks like freedom is breaking out all over.” My jaw hit the floor.
I understand why the UK had to give up the “New Territories”, but they should have held on to the rest.
Or told the ChiComs that they made the treaty with the government of China that Mao deposed and must hold onto it until that government returns to accept the colony.
