I would add one point
A lot of the charges of Polish complicity were started in the west by the British and US governments in order to placate their "ally" Uncle Joe. This made it easier for the betrayal of the Polish heroes. The Poles were made complicit, so they really should be under the Soviets.
Sharkhawk, Thanks for your comment and I apologize for taking so long to respond. A lot of the charges by American and British newspapers and government officials which were brought about by Soviet spies and fellow travelers. Remember the Soviets had spies and supporters like New York times reporter Walter Duranty and Alger Hiss, a senior State Department official under President Franklin Roosevelt. The influence they carried was huge. V/R Bill
