Obama wants an election about the economy, not him

President Barack Obama is all in with his economic pitch. The American public is not. Over the next 27 days, either the public or the president is going to get the message.
In a midterm campaign strategy fraught with risk, the White House is betting that Obamas tight embrace of the economic recovery and populist proposals for gender pay equity and a higher minimum wage will galvanize his core supporters and persuade fence-sitting independents to help Democrats retain narrow control of the Senate in November.
Addressing young entrepreneurs Thursday at a startup center in California, Obama highlighted his economic record for the third time in eight days.

Since he is on the far left, the economy and him cannot be separated.

Especially because the economy is a disaster. And just think what Ebola is going to do to the economy.

Not a lot of holiday shopping at the mall when a trip to Macy’s could mean death by plague.

The actual economy or the one spewed by Obama’s kneepad-wearing stooges in the DNC controlled “media”?

Does Obamacare cover Ebola or Marburg induced illnesses?

Part and parcel...
Fine by me.
Your message is flat, same as the economy.

Not a lot of holiday shopping at the mall when a trip to Macys could mean death by plague. I'm not doing any optional shopping between now and the day after the election. Even if my economic contribution would be almost trivial, I don't want any part in making Obama look less catastrophic than he is. I'll mostly shop online in the after-Thanksgiving sales, or not at all, but I'm on strike as a recreational consumer. I'm praying for an early Christmas - a GOP sweep of all close races and some that weren't even considered competitive (I'd love a conservative sweep, but that's not realistic).

Obama read, in the NYT, that the economy is thriving and the President is entirely responsible for this miracle. Ebola is just a bad cold, and Fox News is trying to scare people.
Who is he going to believe?

Wait a minute. It was only a few days ago that he informed us that he was on the ballot in every race in the country.

Can’t have it both ways...

Despite borrowing and spending 7 trillion dollars, the economy still stinks.
The GOP is blowing it by not even mentioning this stuff.
To: Olog-hai
Obama wants the election to be about what the MSM says about the economy, not about him.

Obama held three fundraisers in one day on Monday. Two were $32,400 a plate and one was $50,000 a plate.
His theme was "Republicans are the party of the rich".

I want it to go on record that Obama is trying a new leadership method.
“Good leaders get people to believe in them. Great leaders inspire people to believe in themselves.”
He is trying the latter. Too little, too late. But an amusing period in Obamanomics.

...Obamas tight embrace of the economic recovery...such as it is, the "recovery" is really an affirmation of what John McCain said during the '08 campaign - the American economy is "fundamentally sound" - it rises again even in spite of increased taxes, crushing governmental regulations such as those pushed by the EPA, and destructive policies like Obamacare and the War on Energy - Obama's embrace had better not be too close......
