CDC chief on second Ebola case: There was a breach in protocol
CBS News ^ | October 11, 2014 | REBECCA KAPLAN

The head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said there was "clearly" a breach in protocol that led to a Texas health care worker contracting Ebola after treating a Liberian man who later died from the virus, although authorities do not yet know what that breach was.

"We're deeply concerned about this new development," Dr. Thomas Frieden said in an interview on CBS' "Face the Nation" Sunday. "I think the fact that we don't know of a breach in protocol is concerning because clearly there was a breach in protocol. We have the ability to prevent the spread of Ebola by caring safely for patients."

"The fact is that the individual who became ill was, as per protocol, self monitoring. Immediately when they developed symptoms they isolated themselves, they were promptly isolated at the hospital so that any further spread from that individual was stopped," Frieden added.

I suppose the good news is ObOzO will not be going to Dallas soon. OdumBO donors, mail your checks to the CDC for decontamination and don't lick the envelope.

At the presser they were not sure how the person contracted it. 15 minutes later it is “clear” there was a breach in protocol?

Oh, that’s right, we need a line for the Sunday morning talk shows.

Dr Daniel Varga, of the Texas Health Resource, said the worker had worn a gown, gloves, mask and shield when providing care to Duncan during his second and final hospital admission.

Dr Daniel Varga: “All of our workers are following recommended precautions”
The hospital, he said, was still confident that the precautions put in place would protect workers when interacting with patients at the hospital.

But Dr Tom Frieden, head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), said there had been a clear breach of protocol.

I cannot imagine that “soccer moms” feel very protected at this point.

Why would they?

What sort of fabricated science runs the CDC?

After reading this http://www.ageofautism.com/2011/07/part-3-.html the other night I think I know. If you really want to know the answer, the journey starts with this guy. He's the new model of truth provider.

Dr. Varga says this worker was not on watch list from CDC. “All of our workers are following CDC-prescribed precautions”

That’s the CDC PC scam- blame the victim.
Just like the nurse in Spain.
She touched her face after she took off her gear “improperly”?.

Well, Doctor, what else did she touch after she took off her gear “improperly” and wiped her brow or touched her eyes? A doorknob? Some hospital paperwork that got left on the des of the next shift worker? A pen? A vending machine or coffee pot or cup n the staff break room?? An elevator button? Her car steering wheel that a family member then touched?

Of course our 4000 troops in Liberia will never be exposed because they are professionals and follow he CDC routine “properly”.

Right?

You got it.

Clearly there was a breach in protocol. It's just not clear what the breach was or what the protocol was.

Clearly, the only thing clear about anything that comes out of the mouth of Obola or one of his Wormwoods that starts with "clearly", or "let me be clear", you are about to get feces flung in your eyes.

CDC:
“The nurse screwed up.
She trusted us.”

Meanwhile, the is the first case of transmission in the US, and for me is a trigger event. I’ll be wearing gloves when shopping from now on. Once the first case appears outside TX, also an N100 mask.

I think the officials thought they were clever hiding this news since friday. All it says is, you can’t believe them.

I hope they learn from this that they need to tell the public what is happening and stop filtering the news based on their own fear of reactions. Truth first. No manipulation of public opinion.

The identity of the nurse, who works at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, has not been released. Dallas Mayor Mike Rawling said shared areas outside her Dallas building such as hand railings have been decontaminated. Hazardous materials units have also cleaned out the nurse's car and will work on her apartment Sunday. A dog was reportedly inside the patient's apartment, which Rawlings said is not symptoms of Ebola.

Yes – any U.S. hospital that is following CDC's infection control recommendations and can isolate a patient in a private room‎ is capable of safely managing a patient with EVD.

Translation: "Capable" = can, but doesn't and probably won't.
