This Dem Governor Threatens to Release Mass Murderer if Not Re-Elected

Our nation is supposed to be a republic governed by laws- not men. Our elected officials are supposed to create and enforce the laws, not serve as the laws themselves.

However, at a time when the mainstream media focuses on the pending corruption charges against Texas Governor Rick Perry for exercising his right to veto, they are deafeningly silent on the heinous and inexcusable corruption going on in Colorado as Democrat Governor John Hickenlooper threatens to commute the sentence of a convicted multi-murderer if he does not get re-elected.

You may recognize the name as the name of the Democrat governor who enthusiastically supported sweeping anti-Second Amendment legislation last year and has championed some of the strictest anti-gun measures in the West. In an unbelievably callous move that betrays a shocking lack of respect for his state’s laws, Hickenlooper has stated that if he is not reelected, there would be enough time that he “could” commute the sentence of a murderer who killed four people after he opened fire at a Chuck E. Cheese in 1993.

In 1993, angry about being fired, Nathan Dunlap opened fire at an Aurora Chuck E Cheese and shot five and killed four. He was tracked down shortly after and was sentenced to death. A whopping 21 years later, Dunlap still enjoys three hots and a cot courtesy of the Colorado taxpayers and rather than affirm his commitment to the law of Colorado which allows capital punishment, Hickenlooper has ducked and dodged from the issue and has granted a “temporary reprieve” for the execution to see if he will be reelected and whether he will have to weigh in on capital punishment.

Now think: “Gee, it sure would be a shame if I didn’t get reelected and this guy was let loose…”

It should be noted that Hickenlooper reacted to the Aurora movie shooting by crusading for unconstitutional gun laws that unfairly punish all law-abiding Coloradans. However, for the man who actually murdered citizens, the governor is not only considering sparing his life, but letting him loose on the streets of Colorado as a punishment for the state that refused to reelect him.

That’s not just “dirty politics as usual;” that is flat-out cold-blooded and the kind of extortion that would make Carlo Gambino wince.

"Governor, some of your constituents would like a word with you."

This will be a good election in CO. We’ll get rid of Lickenpooper AND Mark Uterus. CO may be waking up.

I'm no fan of Hickenlooper, but from the posting he used the word commute, and in remarks to CNN he mentioned clemency...not release or pardon. Commuting or giving clemency could be reducing the penalty to a life sentence. He never threatened to release the man.

Fabricating statements will not help efforts to unseat the Dems.

Let Hickenlooper explain all that.

The story is playing quite well in the state as it is.
