The Obama administration stopped shipping to Israel all defense items and not just Hellfire missiles as previously reported for a short time in the middle of the war against Hamas, reported Israel Defenses Amir Rappaport, the well-informed and highly credibly editor of the website.
Makor Rishon added to that report that the US actually cut off all communications with Israels Ministry of Defense purchasing offices in the US for days.

I sincerely believe that if the long-legged Mack Daddy could connive a way for the ragheads to destroy Israel without HIS fingerprints being all over it, he’d do it in a heartbeat. Hatred for Israel was BURNED into his heart by Revun’ Wright....and other of his mentors and fellow cretins.
The way it works is, historically there has been a certain group of Jews, particularly in Germany, who believed the best way to get along and prosper was to downplay references to their Jewishness. They did not want to have anything to do with Jews (notably from Eastern Europe) who sought to maintain their Jewish traditions and culture. According to their perception, open displays of Jewish culture, or support for Jewish causes, was sure to generate anti-Semitism and thus undermine the gains they had achieved in European society.
A prominent example of this is the Sulzberger family that owns the New York Times. As you probably know, all during the second World War, the New York Times suppressed references to the Holocaust, because they didn’t want to be viewed as a “Jewish” newspaper. Also, during the second World War, some very prominent Jewish families opposed attempts to get the Roosevelt administration to permit more Jewish immigration into the US that would have allowed more Jews to flee the Holocaust, because they felt more “unassimilated” Jews would increase anti-Semitism and undermine what these families had achieved.
A current example of this attitude was displayed very recently by Peter Gelb, the Managing Director of the Metropolitan Opera, whose father was a very high-level executive at the New York Times whose beliefs about “Jewishness” appear to have rubbed off on his son.
When a group of prominent Rabbis visited Mr. Gelb in order to convey to him their feelings about the anti-Semitic opera, “The Death of Klinghoffer” that is scheduled to open this Monday, Mr. Gelb in effect told them to shut up - that their complaining would increase anti-Semitism and would be bad for the Jews. The Rabbis were very incensed that Mr. Gelb would presume to tell them what was good for the Jews.
So, as you can see, Jews are obviously not a monolithic group in their beliefs. Some are vehemently opposed to Israel (like the New York Times, which has opposed Israel since its inception), some are very strong supporters, some enjoy flaunting themselves as “good” Jews by engaging in anti-Semitic comments - there are all sorts.
I feel obliged to point out that the Sulzbergers converted to Episcopalianism decades ago. No great loss.
Israelis are NOT victims or fools - even if Obama's trying to play them that way.. Obama will lose - Netanyahu's got his number.
Very interesting. Thanks for the info.
I’m reminded of the Mendelssohn family. Moses Mendelssohn was a very prominent banker in Germany and of course his grandson Felix a great composer. Somewhere along the line the family converted to Christianity (I think Catholicism) in order to advance their prospects - but Felix Mendelssohn will always be known as a Jewish composer, and was excoriated as such by Wagner.
I don’t think many people are aware that the Sulzbergers have become “Episcopalian” - but I don’t think that will make much difference.
Correction: Moses Mendelssohn was a prominent philosopher. His son, Abraham (Felix’s father), was the banker.
Muslim-in-chief doing what he do.
You’re very welcome.
Iran could still deal Israel a big big blow and the Zero would be complicit. I certainly hope not, but he’s let so many genie’s out of the bottle its going to take a lot of suffering and pain to put them all back.
That’s true of Reformed/secular Jews. I’ve noted within the past few years, more American Jews are going more Orthodox/religious, who tend to be/vote conservative.
Technical nitpick: It’s “Reform,” not “Reformed.” Otherwise, I agree.
Sorry. What do you expect from a shiksa?
*chuckle* No worries.
This is crazy. Why did they do this?
thank you for the ping. I firmly believe that when a country acts against Israel, G-d responds negatively. May G-d forgive this country and turn our hearts back to Him.
