DSCC going back on air in Kentucky for Grimes

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is going back on-air for Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes in her battle against U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell.

Buoyed by recent polling, the DSCC told Politico that they were investing $650,000 in air time after “reviewing recent internal and public polling,” according to Manu Raju.

The latest Bluegrass Poll published Monday shows McConnell up one percentage point on Grimes, but the race remains within the margin of error.

The decision to go back on air in the state comes after the group went dark in the state after not airtime in the state on October 10th in favor of directing resources to other hotly contested races around the country.

With less than two-weeks on the clock for Grimes, she’ll need every penny to keep up with the Republicans who are outspending Democrats in the Senate race.

“Pulling out” was a PR stunt to get attention

From what I’ve heard, the Bluegrass Poll is one of the most inaccurate out there.

Can the GOP take the senate without McConnell? Seeems that would be the best of all worlds.

Folks....Manu Raju is a lie telling, “POLITICO OBAMABOT”!!! Anything he utters is pure hogwash!!!! But...if I were Mitch McConnell I would not let up on Grimes for one second!!! All Democrats must be defeated this election cycle....The country is at stake!!! Obama is not one of us....an American!!! He is in with, and closer to his most beloved, Muslim Brotherhood!!!

Dream on. This is for Hillary reputation. If the BGP shows Grimes down, it means that she lost ground not gained.

One obscure poll that shows a close result while the others show McConnell with a much wider lead. OK dems.. your money! Spend to your little dark hearts’ content.

Technically, yes.. but we need all hands to throw the dems out. Grimes is a slimy, lying POS who will screw the coal industry in Kentucky.

You’ve got that freakin’ right. And, yes, they can. I predict with a McConnell win, the final Senate count will be 53 GOP / 47 ‘Rats. Without a McConnell win... 52/48.

Right. Why subjugate KY to a coal killing Obama-ite?

She's poison and would infect a reliable Red State for years.

If he’s smart, he won’t. Anytime a 30 year incumbent is polling in the 40s at this stage of the game, it’s not a good sign. There might be a whole, helluva lot of surprises on Election night.

It is a bit strange - when they pulled out she was up in that poll - now that she’s down in the poll, they are more encouraged by her chances and are coming back into the race? Do they believe her PR disaster with the editorial board has somehow improved her chances?

Popcorn time. If McConnell wins, the Democrats have wasted a lot of money. If McConnell loses, he’ll lose much of his ability to undermine conservatives.

If the latter it would then be the Lundergans on the rise which would be very bad news for the Commonwealth and the nation...for decades.

Heh. My theory: the Demon Rats are now going in with the Clintons and trying to throw Obama under the bus.

I really hope Mitch wins and punctures their balloon.
