You can't make stuff like this up! It must have been the perfect storm in the minds of those planning to incite a riot in Phoenix last night. You had Zombies (!) from the 6th Annual Phoenix Zombie March and nearby a huge crowd of rowdy revelers at a heavy metal band concert. Add to the potentially volatile brew the key ingredient of some obscene police hating community organizers then mix and stir . To get a sense of what fine upstanding people the organizers are take a look at this vulgar ad they created.
Going by the usual history for this kind of community organizing they must have been hoping to get a fun blown riot. You'd get lots of folks "down with the struggle" injured and bleeding. What better way to get their base angry enough to set aside their crack pipes and vote against " The Man!" ? "The Man!" being Republicans and anybody who votes for them. (Not to mention the extra bonus points of embarrassing Sheriff Joe Arpaio who is deeply hated by the left because he is effective against them. Looks like old Joe gets the last laugh , again ).
The riot attempt fizzled because police were ready for them. When they tried to break out of the area set aside for them to tear down the flimsy temporary fences of the nearby concert and inflame that crowd the police intervened .The attempt sputtered and died. Here is a quote from a Facebook page post of an articulate yet dissapointed would be rioter: (I censored a few of the actual words)
Instead of a giant attention grabbing headline like "Police brutally enrages rioters in Phoenix" they have to settle for the consultation prize of complaining about the Police who stopped them.
"Registered a complaint at PHX police HQ this am for the violent repression of our free speech last night. FTP."
Sucks to be them. The election is still a few days away, perhaps they have another riot that will work this time. No doubt Sheriff Joe Arpaio will be ready if they try this game in Phoenix again.
What are those, tickets?
..........contrast Arpaio’s handling of that situation vs the Ferguson Police agencies..............
Tickets to their own beat down? I like it!
The nerve of those Phoenix cops for being prepared for what was an advertisement that there would be trouble!
You stay safe, Nate!
I can’t believe they took the time off from posting their cop-hating posts here.
(nice thread, good post).
So did the heavy metal fans have something to do with it?
That is some hand outs the master minds were hoping fellow travelers would print up and distribute . I got it from a Facbeook page.
........yes, Joe’s “intelligence division” actually works!
Not that I could tell. They just wanted to rock, most of them. A bunch of invaders tearing down the fence after they paid 40$ to see the show would have fired them up , no doubt.
Looks like a real grass-roots effort. /s
After hearing about all that happened I knew this was the kind of REAL story that would only be PARTIALLY covered. The part embarrassing to the left , of course , was left out.
This is exactly why the left hates him so badly. He wins when they try stuff like this.
tickets to a riot?
Popcorn and peanuts cost extra.
Thanks! I’m fine.
I could hear the silence from here. :-P
If this happened in Tucson, the rioters would have burned the entire city down. Sheriff Dupnik would have apologized if any of them got their feelings hurt.
