Why do our politicians and media talk so much drivel about Islam?

We react like superstitious peasants to anything connected with this religion. As a result, we completely miss the point of what is going on.

For example, we imagine that the horrible killings by cannabis-crazed drifters, of Lee Rigby here and of Nathan Cirillo in Canada, are evidence of some vast secret Islamist conspiracy masterminded from a cave by a robed villain with a beard.

This is partly because a long and expensive international PR campaign has fooled a willing elite (many of them drug abusers themselves) into believing that cannabis is safe when in fact it is one of the most dangerous drugs there is......

It is because our politicians are ever more useless abroad than they are at home. Here, they try to persuade us that they alone, armed with surveillance and huge police powers, stand between us and a terrorist peril that is a far smaller threat to life than the motor car.

Abroad, they seek to pose as modern-day Churchills.......

Having destroyed Saddam Hussein's secular state in Iraq, and boosted Islamic fanatics against the secular Assad state in Syria, and urged on the plainly dangerous 'Arab Spring' with rhetoric and bombs, they now claim to be surprised and horrified that Sunni fanatics are close to taking over the Middle East.

At home, they spent years actively encouraging Muslim migration to this country.....

Plans are made to nip 'extremism' in the bud, and even make it illegal, even though the word means nothing and such a law would be a tyrant's charter.

These plans are so absurd that last week they exploded in the face of those who advocate them. A private Christian school was acutally reprimanded because it had not been 'inclusive' enough.....

Hitchens says later on in this column: "The very people who are loudest in their alarmism about the Islamist menace are-almost without exception-the people who are keenest to abandon serious migration controls. My guess is that Britain-and Europe-will become Muslim in a century or so, without anyone needing to fire a shot or explode a single bomb."

Hitchens hits the spot again about the crazy drunk jihadi killers and our crazy drunk political leaders who use them for gain at the ballot box and enable them to slowly conquer the West.

A (DHS) Intelligence Information Report (focusing on one small region of the vast US-Canadian border) reveals that as of September 9, 2014, there have been 155 encounters in the area “involving African nationals---344 Somalis, 21 Ethiopians, five Kenyans, two Djiboutians, and so on....

Days after the Canadian soldier was shot dead at the military shrine, a hatchet-wielding man, a member of the hallowed "religion of peace," savagely attacked and wounded NYC police officers. Later, kind and compassionate progressive City Officials said they "didn’t believe" the axe-killer had any connection to terrorism......

Of course not...only an intolerant racist would think this kindly man with an axe is (horrors) an actual "terrorist." In fact, the peace-loving axe-wielder meant no harm....he was here at the express invitation of the progressive Obama administration. Read on.

The Obama administration has issued new exemptions to a law that bars certain asylum-seekers and refugees who provided “limited material support” to terrorists who are believed to pose no threat from the U.S.

The Department of Homeland Security and the State Department published the new exemptions Wednesday in the Federal Register to narrow a ban in the Immigration and Nationality Act excluding refugees and asylum seekers who had provided limited material support, no matter how minor, to terrorists.

“These exemptions cover five kinds of limited material support that have adversely and unfairly affected refugees and asylum seekers with no tangible connection to terrorism: material support that was insignificant in amount or provided incidentally in the course of everyday social, commercial, family or humanitarian interactions, or under significant pressure,” a DHS official explained to The Daily Caller.

I like what I’m reading because in the end Hitchens says our policy in the region in addition to not controlling soverign borders is leading to the demise of Western nations.

He has certainly got that right and he also has it right that the leaders of Western nations are fighting some fake phony war against the IS while allowing borders to be porous at home with immigration of Muslims.

The killers of Rigby and Cirillo were loners and crazy people. Addicts are crazy people.

The area of debate in this column is over the value of cannabis (marijuana, weed, ganga etc.).

There is no need for a secret conspiracy with central direction. No more than there is need for one to get MSM to push liberal causes. When people think alike and long to reach a common goal, they work towards that goal quite effectively as individuals.
