MADISON, WI (AP) Republican Gov. Scott Walker is leading Democrat Mary Burke in the last Marquette University Law School poll released before Tuesdays election.
The poll released Wednesday showed Walker with 50 percent support, compared with 43 percent for Burke. The poll had a margin of error of 3 percentage points.
Walker and Burke were tied with 47 percent support in the previous poll released two weeks ago. The one before that, on Oct. 1, showed Walker with a narrow 5-point lead.
The latest poll of 1,164 likely voters was done between Oct. 23 and Sunday.
Walker was campaigning Wednesday around the state with U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan, while Burke was in Green Bay.
While this encourages me, as someone once sorta said “It doesn’t matter who votes, it matters who counts the votes”.
We’ll talk Wednesday. :{)
Wonderful News! Scott is my prayers.
Wow, that is truly excellent news! Hopefully the revelations about Mary Burkes incompetence and arrogance will get traction and widen the gap. All the good work Scott Walker and team have done and the turnaround that has begun would be undone if a leftist union-loving progressive like Burke wins.
“...and the turnaround that has begun would be undone if a leftist union-loving progressive like Burke wins.”
As far as incompetence goes, she is ‘0bama Lite White.’
And I’m being NICE, LOL!
Good news from the latest polls on Walker.
FReep Mail me if you want on, or off, this Wisconsin interest ping list.
Great news BUMP! Let’s hope it holds.
Marquette is FAMOUS for their ‘voter suppression’ polls. They’re RIGHT on time, as usual! :)
Others complain if the polls show the Republican winning since it proves voter suppression.
What would make you happy ma'am? Please tell me. Perhaps a tied poll? Or is that voter suppression, too? My god, this place is full of whiners and people that can't be pleased or happy over anything.
Others want the democrats to win the Senate since the republicans aren't pure.
This poll probably does not include the loss of a couple of points from Obumblers visit
WTF? I’m not complaining. Just stating FACTS - having LIVED here for nearly 55 years...a good 40 of which I’ve been paying attention to Wisconsin politics.
The Left in our state, which include card-carrying Commies, every sexual perversion you can name, fat, lazy INEPT teachers that CANNOT be fired and Unionistas who have seen their Gravy Train pull out of the station, are FURIOUS that their power is being usurped.
We Conservative Taxpayers are getting the first breath of Fresh Air since the early 1900’s!
Even Tommy Thompson (beloved on BOTH sides of the aisle) didn’t manage to pull of what Governor Scott Walker has.
The Left is furious...and even with a Walker Win, it’s not over. Not by a long shot.
“By any means necessary.” And the left MEANS it in this state.
You did not address my comment at all - you went on a rant about your state.
Not answered?
She BEGAN her rant with the answer.
I’m not in the mood. Go troll someone else - We have an election to win and a REPUBLIC to defend. :)
I need someone to explain to me how polls that show a lead and other polls that show a loss can both be voter suppression.
The rant Diana gave about Wisconsin, I am well aware of. That is a tough state and has been ruled with an iron fist by the libs forever. I feel fortunate I don't live there and it must be really frustrating to live in Wisconsin. I think Walker is amazing and I follow him closely. I would love it if he ran for president.
I'm sure it is very frustrating having a great governor who actually has changed things for the better and loosened the shackles, to be in a close race. One would think he should be a landslide winner, but there are plenty of libs that refuse to acknowledge any recognizable truth. Hopefully, the poll is accurate and Walker can win easily. He has guts and hangs in there and does it with a smile. I don't think I could be as disciplined as Walker.
Only good news if we Walker supporters get to the polls and actually vote for him—don’t be complacent!
