Attorney General Eric Holder says he has one regret: his department's court order for Fox News reporter James Rosen's emails labeling him a criminal "co-conspirator."
The outgoing attorney general, who recently announced his retirement, addressed the controversial episode during the "Washington Ideas Forum" on Wednesday. Asked what decision he wishes he could do over, Holder said: "I think about the subpoena to the Fox reporter, Rosen."
Holder was referring to a 2010 search warrant application seeking Rosen's emails. The Justice Department at the time was investigating who leaked information contained in a series of reports by Rosen in 2009 about North Korea's nuclear weapons program.

I guess we are going to get to holdups one great regret, that is a new and different one great regret several times before he is finally out.
Was the release of these documents illegal? Yes.
Did Rosen aid, abet and/or conspire in this illegal act? Almost certainly. So would somebody please point out to me what is wrong with the way the FBI agent worded his accusation?
Here's the problem. 1A protects a reporter from being prosecuted for anything he writes and publishes. It does not give him any leeway not granted other citizens in the methods he uses to get the information he bases his publications on.
If it's illegal for me to obtain this secret information, it's equally illegal for Rosen to do so.
If Rosen is guilty as you presume, don’t you think he’d be doing time?
Why would he regret any of that. He has been hansomely rewarded for his actions at every turn.
Obama’s high yeller doesn’t have enough morality in himself to regret anything that doesn’t reflect badly on himself.
