This is nothing more than fear based media politics. Despite being self centered, good for her for standing up to power in the name of reason.

I agree wholeheartedly. This whole Ebola panic is nothing more than media fear mongering at its worst.

But cops arrest. So, if she was in any way legally required to remain in the house, they could have arrested her when she did. Instead of, y’know, doing nothing.

Clark County, Nevada is where she is a registered voter.

A daily occurrence on our southern border. Another politically charged situation.

Cops do as they are told, they follow orders, as they did in this instance, and as the border patrol is doing daily.

Does she have a residence there? When was she last there?

Attempting to widen your female voting base by advocating the defense of a woman’s ostensibly abrogated rights is what O’Bola and Valerie do, starting with the 2011 set-up of the college girl’s pre-election demand for state-sponsored birth control, followed now today by their defense of the rights of Kaci Hickox.

Only now, the free-range mobility and public travel rights of the possibly asymptomatic Ebola carrier, and possibly future EVD-positive Kaci, put 1000s of American contacts at risk, as opposed to the unprotected college student’s risk of 1 unwanted pregnancy.

O’Bola may pave the path for the 2016 election of Hilarious, at the tragic loss of statesmanship, and the safety of American economics and health.

a set up to touch off a constitutional crisis over states rights like we haven’t seen in 150 years.

I think you are right.

Now that’s funny. You must either be from, or at least familiar with, “The County”. Fort Kent is scheduled for 9-16” of snow this weekend.

American doctors and nurses rarely pose for photographs with their American patients yet they invariably return from Africa with a group photo taken with the locals?

So true.

So while the everyone focuses on this one woman in rural Maine, perhaps dozens of health care workers treating an ebola patient in NYC go about their daily activities in the nation’s largest city.

Her home state is NOT Maine. She is a Texan. She has been studying to be a disease detective with the CDC in Las Vegas for the past two years after she was turned down by Doctors without Borders. . Her boyfriend is attending nursing school in Maine. She went to stay with him before going home.

Yes, I’m from the County (the largest county east of the Rocky Mountains). I have suffered many a -40 F winter there.

Negative tests aren’t conclusive for absence of infection in the early stages following exposure. They turn positive toward the end of the incubation period when, usually, other signs of disease are becoming manifest. Your assertion is at best half-baked.

New Jersey released her to Maine because she agreed to home quarantine. She now refuses to comply with home quarantine. Time for her to be forcibly quarantined, and fined or imprisoned.

Its all about her. There was once “the greatest generation”. She is the poster girl for “the worst generation”.

VTenigma:"I am convinced this woman is a setup planned by Ron Klain to ignite a “war on women” overreaction by the GOP."

Why would Obola make a lawyer his Ebola czar ?
Why is Obola violating 'common sense' in regard to a pandemic ?
I think Obola made Klain a czar two weeks in advance for a reason other than to reward a party faithful.
I think enough National support has been shown in Texas regarding "states rights', but Maine isn't all that wealthy to put up a prolonged legal fight against the Fed.
I believe this is all a distraction for the press; Hickox is as narcissistic as Sandra Fluke .
Dont forget , Klain has been missing in action for the last two weeks right after being names czar.
We have never heard the CDC say what her role was in West Africa - she may have been an office-bound statistican .
It would be interesting to see what communications Hickox has had with the CDC,White House, or Klain, himself.
I am sure she believes this is a resumee enhancement.

The CDC and WHO both recommend 21 days after last exposure to an infected person. Was she exposed to any infected persons or was she in an office pushing paper? Her lawyer was a recent visitor to the White House. I smell a setup by the rats.

>> This nurse is being unbelievably irresponsible.

To the point where I suspect she’s a plant, a setup.
