There are no flights from affected countries to the U.S. Getting from there to here already requires “circuitous routes.”
Circuitious routes only add hours onto the trip length.
Stopping all direct flights, stopping all travelers from the hot zone and above all stopping all 150 visas that we are issuing every day.
Can be done in one day with a visa. Stop that and, as I said, require fake passport/visa, walk across the border, whatever, come here ILLEGALLY and it will take much longer. Leaving the floodgates open on legit Visas is just downright irresponsible. Now even the “experts” (from out of town with a briefcase) say we can expect several cases in each major city over the next two months. For what? What benefit does ANYONE get by the US taking that risk?
