Not sure what will happen to the carrier.

In my processing facility, we take political mail *Very* seriously.

All political mailings are highlighted with huge red cards denoting that they are political mailings.

We’re required to process and deliver them before first class mail, to avoid any possible bias charges.

Election season is aggravating. We actually have to dig through containers looking for political mail to make sure it gets delivered.

In Michigan antlerless deer permits once had to be applied for through the mail, and those drawn in the lottery were returned a permit that looked like a postcard. Anyone could read what it was.

In some areas they had a funny habit of all being lost in the mail, anti-hunting postal workers were throwing them away.

Thankfully that system of mailing permits is no longer used.

Good for you. Like that. Seriously.

“We actually have to dig through containers looking for political mail to make sure it gets delivered.”

That is troubling that you even have to do this. . .

I never trust the PO for any important letters or packages, there simply is no accountability. None. Always use FedEx or UPS.

Wife has internet business, used the PO to send a couple of items bought from her to an address in DC. Two packages delivered to the address.. .and signed for. Thing is, we googled the address and had someone drive by and found it was an EMPTY lot. (Turns out the credit card was part of an ID theft crime.)

So, the PO was in on the scam, using a bogus address and showing delivered. . .and the respopnse from the DC PO. . .guess.
