Republican Senator and potential 2016 presidential candidate Rand Paul has been busy piling on Hillary Clinton in the wake of the Democrats' 2014 midterm disaster. Whatever one wants to make of that, what hasn't gotten much mention is the end of the so-called centrist Clinton Democrat, courtesy of this year's election.
Because the GOP was fighting for its much coveted Senate majority in red and purple states, it's that once-vaunted wing of the Democrat party that took the biggest hits, to the point where it now may no longer even be viable.
That fact hasn't been lost on Elizabeth Warren supporters. Whether Warren emerges or not may be an open question. But it's hard to imagine a Democrat party that isn't increasingly progressive as a result of 2014.
Don't blame Elizabeth Warren for the Democrats' midterm defeat. Follow her back to victory.

I have faith in America [NOT Massachusetts, naturally] that it will NOT ELECT its ex-wife’s mother.
Elizabeth Warren is representative of the place the Dems are today. Hillary! is a dinosaur. With Warren, the crazies will rise to the top. I sure hope the American voters are paying attention to everything she says!
I think so, because there will be a big split between the Clintonistas and the Obama Faction, which will go hard left. She’s the perfect faux face for a faux movement.
Lets hope so. An old lying fauxcahontas versus the very ugly and very old Hilldebea$t, queen of the very old lying left wing liars, will set the rat party back even further.
To the DNC, please bring it on and let EbolaObama continue to try and mislead America.
She is Obama lite. That kind of candidate was repudiated in the election.
Hitlery remains the barometer. If there is DemocRAT out there who is a bigger fraud than she is, then yes, that person has the advantage.
In this last election, Elizabeth Warren cherry picked candidates to back that weren’t going to have trouble winning, instead of going to battleground states like Hillary did. Now the media calls her a king maker...
Well, she will certainly have her new Governor rooting for her. Oops, scratch that - a minor setback.
Only if she wears her war bonnet.
Well, America elected Obama, Jimmy Carter and of course the disgraced Bill Clinton. Warren is a ding bat of the first order but I wouldn’t dismiss her chances. The media will make her out to be the next FDR.
I’m betting on Liawatha. The Democrats like blank slate messiahs.
Lieawatha wants scalps
Me no left wing ... me no right wing ... me middle of bird!
I don’t believe the Rat coalition can stick together without a Black at the top of the ticket. Most Blacks voted for Obama because he was black. Don’t believe they will come out in numbers to vote for a elite White Woman (whose 1/32 Indian). Nope, I just don’t see it happening ...
Yes, but none looked like an Ex’s mother....the MIL from hell.
Pragmatists vs true believers.
GOP can really take advantage of this now, pushing up bills that the pragmatists will feel compelled to support, but who will tick off the true believers by doing so.
Optimal scenario would be to prod the pramatists into a visceral reaction about Obama being dissed. Which would spur them into supporting a Warren or O’Malley candidacy, or staying home if Hillary won the nomination.
I have been wrong on this, but the only person I can see them trying to drag back from retirement that was photogenic and might sell to Middle America is Evan Bayh. Other than that, they are worse shape than the Detroit Loins were in 2008...

Liz Warren is the de-facto NPR candidate... if she ever decides to retire from politics her cadence will fit in perfectly for a political public radio show.
