We need someone who is soft spoken but driven by their convictions. I was telling my wife on election night that we need a long string of single-term presidents. That usually indicates they did something controversial. We need positive controversy like Medicare reform.

I’d say Carson fits your bill for soft spoken and driven by convictions.

We need someone with Reagan’s confidence, disposition and delivery coupled with his hard conservative freemarket principles.

Reagan is the only president who did well in a second term. We need men who will announce that they are one term, and then stick to that. We need Coolidge.

If the Sultan had stepped down after one term, the Democrats would probably have pretty much everything now. Conservative presidents should work hard for one term and step down with aother conservatives waiting in the wings. Democrats should always insist on second terms.

I’ve heard him speak. He has a long way to go. He obviously gets things done—his record as gov is superb. But he can’t talk his way out of a paper bag if there are mics and cameras.
