CRUDELE: I began investigating when I was told Census data collectors were inventing interviews....and of possible financial mis-doings on contracts, expenses, maybe even pension funds. Four of the six Census regions apparently falsified economic data. Philadelphia, NY, Atlanta, LA, Chicago and Denver Census Offices have million dollar tax-paid budgets w/ little oversight.
A couple weeks ago, the whistleblower — Ivan Irizarry, lead scientist at Census’ Demographic Statistical Methods Division — came to me out of frustration.
The UofM contract was never put up for competitive bid....and was the most costly and most interesting: Robert Groves, who was picked by President Obama in 2009 to head Census, was a UofM professor the contract was inked. In fact, Groves taught in the same division — the Dept of Joint Program for Survey Method — that was working for Census. And the deal continued after Groves was tapped by Obama. Whistleblower Irizarry says he always felt that was one reason was he was getting nowhere.
Groves left Census in 2012 and now teaches at Georgetown. He didn’t respond to an e-mail I sent. I briefly spoke with a UofM spokeswoman, but she didn’t call me back after I told her the nature of my inquiry. The Census IG’s office wouldn’t comment.
When the whistleblower found what he believed to be fraud in the granting of a $2 million annual contract to the UofM, he reported it to his immediate superiors.....all the way up the chain of command...the Commerce Department’s Inspector General, the agency that monitors Census. After that, he wrote to the Office of Special Counsel, to his senator, Ben Cardin (D-Md.), and to the White House and the FBI....and nothing happened....except he suddenly got a bad performance review and was suspended. That all began in 2010.

The minute Obama/Valerie/Rahm/Axelrod/Geithner, and that diseased bunch of criminals, landed in the WH they did two things that were apparently crucial to their evil plans
(a) they took control of the US Census;
(b) Obama placed his COS Rahm Emanuel in control of the US Dept of the Treasury (the IRS).

THIS MADE ME LAUGH OUT LOUD shortly after quitting his powerful WH job as Obama's COS, Rahm held a presser declaring he "just remembered" he really, Really wanted to be Mayor of Chicago. Then Rahm announced he had magically "raised" $10 million for his campaign in "just a matter of weeks." (waiting for hysterical laughter to die down). Ya gotta wonder how much Wall Street Rahm wired offshore when Obama put him in charge of the entire US Treasury.

Mayor Emanuel's innovative ways commenced early on---his organization was getting $50G's for the best seats at the inauguration (mmmm........that accounts for another couple million scammed from Treasury).
The mayoralty (and its--cough--"benefits") is a job Emanuel has coveted since he was a machine go-fer back in the 1980s.....before he became Bill Clinton's national campaign finance chairman and then a dual role as senior White House aide and Goldman Sachs lobbyist and then (gasp) becoming a multi-millionaire, thanks to a measly few months at a local investment firm...then a (gag) Congressman for four terms---then White House chief of staff for Obama that helped create the 2010 Republican House landslide.

And that there “Congressional Oversight Committee”? Isn’t that honchoed by “Bluff a big start, but never FINISH anything” Issa? Has hell frozen over yet? No? Well, then nothing will be done about this; at least by Congress.
In the Case of the Census Bureau fraud, the money is the least of the problem.
The impact on voting districts and other gov’t programs can be profound, when data is made up or altered.
Every agency in government has ben politicized.
My original thoughts precisely. But it looks like the Obamatons figured---why not make a few bucks in the process.
