An anchor for Fox Business Network who used to work for CNBC told viewers that her superiors at the network "silenced" her reporting on Obamacare, telling her she was "disrespecting the office of the president" by pointing out that Obamacare's math didn't add up.
Daily Caller:
Fox Business Network anchor Melissa Francis said she was silenced by CNBC when management told her she was disrespecting the office of the president by reporting about Obamacare.
Francis highlighted Obamacare architect Jonathan Grubers comments about the stupidity of American voters and the administration intentionally misleading the public about whats in the law and said in her experience, some of the media helped to hide the truth about the law.
Its shocking, but it doesnt surprise me because when I was at CNBC, I pointed out to my viewers that the math of Obamacare simply didnt work, Francis said Friday. Not the politics by the way, but just the basic math. And when I did that, I was silenced.
Francis pointed out that she has an economics degree from Harvard University and said she was simply trying to explain the math behind Obamacare to her viewers the same math Gruber has candidly admitted the administration tried to hide.
I said on the air that you couldnt add millions of people to the system and force insurance companies to cover their pre-existing conditions without raising the price on everyone else, Francis said. I pointed out that it couldnt possibly be true that if you like your plan, you can keep it. That was a lie. And in facts, millions of people had their plans canceled.
Francis said she was called into a meeting with CNBC management (she would not specify names) and told she was disrespecting the office of the president.

Me, too, and in more ways than one.
“This black notion of disrespect just nauseates me, that any criticism is not respectful, what a crock.”
This has been used to create an environment where illiterates are awarded high school diplomas and even college degrees; it keeps them on company payrolls when not only are they unproductive, but even a financial drain.
Assimilation is a pipe dream...
I read this...Melissa is a hero...didn’t need to read this again...
CNBC is owned by NBC which is owned by Comcast, which has its head all the way up the Democrat Party’s rear end.
I’ll bet from 1/20/01 to 1/20/09, not one person at CNBC or NBC ever said anything about disrespecting the office of the President.
Melissa will be on “MediaBuzz” tomorrow morning..everyone should watch..she is a fighter and a survivor, but you know that the IRS is going to target her now..I can see an audit happening..she is everything the left despises, a beautiful, Conservative, SMART woman who saw through this BS bill from the start
Fascism at work....
From your find, I deduce that there must have been several (if not continuous) warnings to the CNBC commentators about "disrespecting" "the office of the president" Obama.
The public deserves to know the name of the "mathophobic" executive who told Francis that by pointing out the fallacies of obamacare math she was disrespecting the office of the president."
