How racist. Do you not understand how much this man is owed because of slavery. These are just reparations and should be allowed for the greats service he has provided for this country.

The insanity of Al Sharpton reminds me of drunkenness and drunks are thieves who often take money from others and don’t pay their bills.

Addicts are thieves and liars too who deny the truth about themselves. Its my personal experience as a white person and it looks like Sharpton’s experience as well along with many others who happen to be “people of color” in this country.

Consider the stories of Rev. Jackson’s son, Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown etc. etc. etc. God help them and their families to get out of addiction and codependency and face the truth about themselves.

Heck.....I had the Fed's just take money right out of my checking account once. Never told me, never contacted me...they just did it.

Why can't they do this to Big Al?

... have been missing payments to hotels, landlords and travel agencies, the report says.

Just imagine RevAl showing up at your place and finding out, after tolerating his antics and his crowd, that he is a deadbeat. So the next time he shows up and you say pay your over-due bill, he accuses you of being a RASIST and has your establishment done over with a fine-tooth comb by the Dept. of Justus.

RevAl is a fine example of someone who is "more equal" ...

Sharpton's responsive interview is interesting.

The NYT's $4.5 is based on federal and state tax liens for Sharpton and his companies, plural.

Sharpton's response addresses one company and, as you dissect his comments, makes it clear that Sharpton does include any amount he's agreed to repay in a settlement of unpaid taxes, interest, and penalties as 'unpaid taxes.' Apparently, if there's been a settlement, the unpaid taxes that are the subject of that settlement all go *poof*.

In addition, as Sharpton claims there are no unpaid taxes, he also says that he and the National Action Network (again, one company) could possibly pay off their respective balances of back taxes in one day, they couldn't afford to pay the penalties and interest - but of course, in Sharpton-ese, none of those back taxes, penalties, or interest constitute unpaid taxes.

Why is Al Sharpton not in jail, didn’t they put Wesley Snipes in jail for not paying his taxes?

Wes went to the slammer in 2008 for tax fraud.

I assume he was persecuted by evil Republicans.
