A REPUBLIC, IF WE CAN KEEP IT: THE FOUNDERS VS. 'EMPEROR OBAMA'
Breitbart ^ | November 21, 2014 | by VIRGIL

As “Emperor Obama”—to cite a title applied to Barack Obama by House Speaker John Boehner, Senator Jeff Sessions, and others—proceeds with his plan to trample the Constitution by issuing an Executive Order on amnesty for illegals, perhaps it’s worth looking back to see how the authors of the Constitution might have reacted to such a crisis.

The short answer is that the Founders worried about presidential power-grabbing, and so wrote a proper response into the Constitution. However, the longer answer is that Emperor Obama might be setting in motion a process that actually undermines the Constitution. Although he was defeated at the polls in 2014, Obama could be initiating a process that consolidates Democratic power for the rest of the century.

In Philadelphia, in 1787, Benjamin Franklin was asked what sort of government the just-completed Constitutional Convention, presided over by George Washington, had created. “A republic,” he replied. Then the great patriot quickly added, “If you can keep it.”

And that was the key point: If Americans can keep it. The following year, 1788, James Madison wrote in Federalist #51, arguing for the ratification of the Constitution, “If men were angels, no government would be necessary.” But since men are not angels, Madison continued, it was necessary to create a Constitutional system of checks and balances; as Madison put it, “divide and arrange the several offices in such a manner as that each may be a check on the other.”

Yet where would ultimate power reside? In any kind of Constitutional showdown which of the “several offices” would be decisive? Would it be the executive branch? The judicial branch? The legislative branch? In the same Federalist #51, Madison had a ready answer: “In republican government, the legislative authority necessarily predominates.”

The Founders were quite deliberate in their determination to restrict...

I am doing what I can not to let the Founders down.

Call and melt the phone lines.

Don’t moan about it here—let your reps know—especially the Dems—how you feel about EO Amnesty.

We heard from the Usurper in Chief last night.

Today, they need to hear from us.

OBAMA’S WAR AGAINST THE AMERICAN WORKERS

Obama's Executive Amnesty Could REWARD MILLIONS OF IMMIGRANTS WHO VIOLATED OUR SOVEREIGNTY ENTERING ILEGALLY IN THE COUNTRY, BUT IT WILL PROFOUNDLY AFFECT THE LIVES OF MILLIONS OF UNEMPLOYED AMERICAN BLUE COLLAR WORKERS.

Blacks are going to be the main collateral victims of Obama's anti-Black amnesty.

OBAMA’S UNCONSTITUTIONAL AMNESTY TO MIGRANTS THAT ARE LIVING ILLEGALLY IN THE U.S.A.

After destroying the best health care system in the world, Obama is determined to grant wide amnesty to foreigners living illegally in U.S. If Obama wants to make the U.S. into another banana republic, it seems he is well underway to reaching his goal.

The Republicans must make it perfectly clear that Obama has declared a merciless war against the American workers and the middle class of America. There are 92 million of able Americans out of the work force because they cannot find employment and Obama wants to legalize and give work permits to over 11 million illegal aliens allowing them to bring here the rest of their families. In other words, another 25 or 30 million that either will compete with Americans and legal immigrants searching for scarce jobs or are going to be added to welfare, bankrupting Medicaid and the food stamp system as well as ruining even more the quality of the public schools with the massive infuse of hundreds of thousands of children without speaking English to already overburdened schools systems.

Blacks are going to be the main collateral victims of Obama's anti-Black amnesty. Black Americans are already suffering higher unemployment since Obama took power. Obama’s new class of protected immigrants will take over their jobs and Blacks will be forced to share their welfare checks and food stamps with them

Maybe the election results show that the members of the Republic are stirring from their deep sleep.
Or, then again, maybe not.

Someone said on the radio that immigration laws are not criminal laws but administrative. As such they do not result in jail time but in deportation because they are not criminal infractions.
As such, the President has wide latitude to decide how to enforce them, to prioritize levels of enforcement. That’s what he said he is doing tho I suspect it will be that NO ONE is deported because they will all magically be transformed into the 5 mil good family types.

I do not know if any of that is true but if it is so found, there may be little that can be done to stop Zerohissef. I think the seeds of that were planted in small stories yesterday like how naturalization service is funded by fees, not the general fund and can’t be cut by Congress.

I haven’t seen it addressed anywhere. Doesn’t sound quite right....

The president does not have the constitutional power to amend the law. His duty is to faithfully execute the law!

He failed to get his proposed “Dream Act” passed by the congress and so he’s now violating the constitution by attempting to enact it himself.

This is a willful act of tyranny and is an impeachable criminal offense.

[[As such they do not result in jail time but in deportation because they are not criminal infractions.]]

Many illegal imigrants, when they illegally come to this coutnr,y further break our laws by stealing SS numbers, and stealing other people’s Identities- IF an American citizens steals someone else’s SS number, they do prison time for that crime- How is it that illegals now get a pardon from such prosecution?

The republicants are not doing their duty to the Constitution and thus We The People, because this drug-addled sexual degenerate resident of the white House is aiding and abetting an invasion, a true and ever increasing invasion. This bastard boy should not only be impeached, he should be tried and executed for treasonous treachery toward the true sovereigns, We The People. The greatest problem now is that Boehner and McConnell are owned and aiding in the aborting of The Republic.

I know how you feel. I could waste time and call Red Ed Markey or Lizzy “Fauxcahontas” Warren. I remember calling John Kerry’s office in years past (I forget the issue) and the person I spoke with said that calls were 3 to 1 in favor of my conservative opinion.

Kerry voted the opposite anyway.

<>Jim tell me what will it take to get the people of this Republic to wake up?<>

They woke up and deposed congressional rats.

Unfortunately, congress is electorally and institutionally incapable of reforming itself and restoring the republic.

The Framers gave us an out, a fighting chance against tyranny.

It is Article V and we must implement it NOW!
