US Citizens Warned To Stay Away From Acapulco
Sky News ^ | November 23, 2014

US citizens have been warned to stay away from the Mexican resort of Acapulco because of the threat from protests over the suspected murder of a group of student teachers.

The American Embassy in Mexico City issued the security message which it said applied to its own staff and all US citizens.

A statement released by the embassy said its personnel "have been instructed to defer non-essential travel to Acapulco, by air or land," and added that it "cautions US citizens to follow the same guidelines".

The alert added that "protests and violent incidents continue in Guerrero state in response to the disappearance of 43 students there."

The protests follow the disappearance of the 43 students who prosecutors say were probably killed by a drug gang after being turned over to them by local police.

Maybe this is what it will take for Mexicans to fix their own country, instead of coming here to ruin ours.

I’ve never spent a nickel in Mexico. Actually, I think any American that goes there is just looking for trouble. We get enough of that here from their wayward sons here.

I have no future plans to visit Acapulco or any other part of Mexico.

The local politicians and cops that did this horrible thing must be really, really stupid.

You can “disappear” one or five people and get away with it. Public arrest of 43 who then “disappear?”

Not hardly. I would assume this is the hubris brought on by absolute (or, more accurately, what they thought was absolute) power in their little fiefdom.

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that since the ignorant, unaccomplished, ass-clown-in-chief has ascended to the big boy chair, the entire world has descended into a chaotic, miserable, and incomprehensible evil mess? Nah... I’m sure it’s just a coincidence.

Wife and I used to visit Ixtapa around new year.
Safe, clean, inexpensive and fun.
At least it was 20 years ago.

In today’s America, or other country for that matter, I won’t visit anywhere unless I have personal access to one of my chosen weapons for CCW.

I'm hoping its just alot of leftist chest beating & gloating in DC and the media, since its becoming clear to them the country isn't with them.

But your probably right - things really are going to hades.

What his demeanor and actions have shown to me is a deep abiding unadulterated hatred for traditional America.

It seems as a boy, either when born in Kenya, living in liberal Hawaii with its general population not comfortable with traditional America, or in Muslim Indonesia, he grew very comfortable as America-a-foreign-devil. He is doing everything he can to remedy the errors he perceives.

The astounding part is that he really IS “ignorant and unaccomplished”, the only thing he does at all well is perform as the puppet he is. Apparently he is even lousy at golf. He is not known to have ever created even the smallest thing on his own. Maybe that’s why he thinks, “you didn’t build that.”

The way he was sold to this country as some kind of super intelligent, all wise, all knowing creature has to rank as the largest load of pure BS ever foisted off on a great nation. I could interview people who have been diagnosed as having Alzheimer’s disease and find someone far more capable and it wouldn’t take me long either. How could America be STUPID enough to elect this clown? If we just had to have our “first black president” there are hundreds of thousands who would have been far better.

Any excuse to blame the gringos for their own inability to create a civil society.

You are right. The projection of American power, with the implied potential for the use of overwhelming force, was the glue that held the political world order together. Not exactly a Pax Romana but the best approximation that could be hoped for.

Obama has negated that positive source of cohesion, and rendered the US an ineffectual object of derision and international contempt. As a result, centrifugal forces are causing the world to fly apart. With nuclear weapons soon to be in the hands of barbaric street scum, we may be on the verge of a genuine dark age.

Hmm..in addition to Acapulco, I’d advise staying away from all border towns in Mexico, plus Detroit, New Orleans, St Louis (Ferguson), parts of Dallas, and many other towns in our Northern America. Animals all over the place. They need to fix their problems at home, before trying to fix other places.

This is one of the worst stories to come out of Mexico in a while - and that’s saying a whole lot. What a dump. No wonder they’re all trying to get in here.
