NASHVILLE, Tenn. Interstate 24 has been shut down near LP Field as a large group of protesters converged on the streets of downtown Nashville.
Several hundred people took to the street Tuesday night, one day after a grand jury decided not to indict Officer Darren Wilson in the shooting death of Michael Brown.
What initially began as a vigil gathering, soon turned into a demonstration with protesters forcing the closure of James Robertson Bridge and I-24 near LP Field.

That’s right! A Few of them start flying like bowling pins, then the rest will move(maybe not, too dumb)!! Just have each lane with a semi and traffic will be moving smoothly in no time!! Truckers would think they just ran over a little Trash in the road!!
They really know how to make friends and influence people!
They want free $hit.
You should have gone straight to your option at the end. These fools want a lynching, and are too dim to see the irony.
And MLK is probably spinning like a Whirling Dervish in his grave.
My best guess is two years, regrettably.
WHOA!! I hadn’t seen that one yet!
Looks like someone decided enough was enough.
Only thing I heard was a brief mention of it on our local news in Houston. Also understand there was a sizable group gathered in Houston but missed most of that also. Was just trying to get an update on a fire which happened in Edna, south of Houston, where 5 kids died. Mom, her boyfriend and youngest child escaped.
Protests, I expected. Blocking the interstate - no. I was a bit shocked when they reported it tonight.
They start burning and looting, they’ll pay a hefty price. It won’t be like Ferguson. Business and home-owners will fight back.
I don’t know why it’s gone on so long in Ferguson. All the reports of increased gun sales had me expecting people to defend their property with deadly force, if necessary. And no one did anything!
I have something different in mind for the cops to shoot. But that’s just me.
They should have done something other than just stand there for a half hour or more. At least they thought of something to say to convince them to move.
Doesn’t mean they won’t go back. If I heard correctly, that was the second time they’d gone out on the interstate tonight.
Copy. Don’t be afraid to post an article.
Many times, we are breaking news.
I hear you.
Are you reading my mind? That was pretty much my thought when watching the report. LOL!
And they’re doin’ a mighty fine job of it, aren’t they? And makin’ their parents soooooo proud.
And you could be right. *sigh*
Where’s the permits to gather. I think they should put a stop to the people getting out in the highways. That is a safety issue alone. It would eventually hurt transportation in the long run / our economy. What do they expect by doing this? The decision has been made. They don’t want to accept reality / the facts; it was self defense.
I just remembered where the protest in Nashville is set for tomorrow. They’re going to protest in front of the police station. I remember Phil laughed and asked, “What do the Nashville police have to do with Ferguson?”
Permits? They don’ need no stinkin’ permits.
I honestly don’t know if they bothered to get any permits for this garbage. They’ve been wandering all over downtown blocking traffic since around 7 p.m.
It was obvious from the aerial video that the cops followed them down the ramp onto the interstate. Why the heck didn’t they just stop them from going down the ramp in the first place? HELLO!
I can’t post the thoughts that ran through my mind while I watched the reports. I don’t want to get banned. LOL!
