They’re hoping to get war crimes charges against Bush, or at least to whip up worldwide hatred of him. This refocuses attention away from Obama’s failures, stirs up the BDS (Bush Derangement Syndrome) which has been so helpful to the Dems in domestic elections, and shows that the evil white devil is behind everything and the jihadis were justified.
The reason the GOP refused to have anything to do with this is that it was clear that this ($50 million!) “investigation” was just a giant witch hunt, the outcome of which was already determined.
