Of course it would, the culture of death has a vested interest in dehumanizing people like Jahi and Terri Schiavo.

You die when we tell you to die — that’s how it is in the People’s Republic of Obamastan under Caliph Hussein.
“.. Two neurologists testified she is no longer brain dead.”
I’m not being funny.. was she initially brain dead and then cured (via a miracle or science) OR was she determined brain dead by doctors and not?
There’s video here of Jahi moving her foot:
I don’t know what to say, since I’m not in the family or one of the doctors. I tend to think she should be allowed to pass on. A body can be ‘maintained’ in such a comatose state for quite a while. As an example, I think a read that singer Aretha Franklin’s father was in a coma for six years before he was allowed to pass on. Ariel Sharon was in a coma for maybe eight years before meeting the same end. There is a difference between living and ‘being maintained’ involuntarily around the clock.

Another one of the “avenues” in Obamacare. Like most everything else, everything has devolved down to “the cost to society.” Seemingly, any pretext to put someone in the ground and save a buck. That coupled with some doctors with a “Gruber Complex,” who can’t stand to be wrong.
Jeb Bush can settle this paradox.
Doctors and medical science do not know everything, although they put on a front that they do. They really don’t like being told they don’t.
In the 1950s and 60s doctors were in ads for cigarettes, talking about the health benefits of smoking. The entire history of so-called “vestigial” organs they labeled as unimportant/obsolete until it was learned they aren’t leftovers? Iatrogenic deaths in hospitals over 100,000 a year? Just recently they discovered that people under anesthesia may appear to be out, but instead are totally conscious and aware, but are paralyzed and can’t move. And feel pain of the operation but can’t move or tell anyone. They have recently found out people they’ve prior classified as brain dead, in some cases only appear to be brain dead, but with a monitoring cap, can see brain activity respond to words and sentences directed at them.
Neuroscience is awesome and there is no reason they cannot read her thoughts.

True brain death becomes hemodynamically unstable after a couple days.
I was thinking about her yesterday. Thank you for the update.
Life in post-truth America.
“..But I also wrote that if her body did not deteriorateas happens in almost all brain death casesthat would raise my eyebrows. Now, its one year later, and she remains here. My eyebrows are now above my receding hairline.
Moreover, I am increasingly suspicious of the seeming ideological commitment of some to making sure she stays dead. “
Wow!
