It's disgraceful that it's taken 5 years to get this done, and that it has to come via a rider tacked onto a expense authorization bill.

A REPRESENTATIVE Congress would have immediately taken up debate separate, special bill to to recognize the sacrifice that these heroes made in service to their country, even though it occurred on a 'safe' stateside military base.

Failing that, a truly American president would have immediately used his 'pen and phone' or write a executive order or memo to accomplish this.

This insane, PC, demonize-the military, deny-terrorism-at-all-costs attitude is disgusting and not worthy of any government representative of any political stripe.

I first read about this in the WSJ a few weeks ago. Refusing the Purple Heart had to come directly from the Moozlum in the WH.
Glad he was checked !
