Appalling abuse aside, they aren’t powerful. They got away with it because of PC inaction and cowardice. Had that PCism and inaction not existed, they’d have been investigated and caught earlier like white UK paedos.

I think it’s some sort of convoluted guilt for colonialism that’s turned in on itself and become both monstrous and stupid. The Brits have been the source of great logic puzzles, and you can usually get a far more straight story from the BBC then most news outlets, but something went horribly wrong with their politics. Maybe it’s that famous “stiff upper lip”.

Muslims and their liberal supporters have moved into some very important positions in the U.K. and that's what leads to the cover-ups of abuse cases. And then there's the money involved.

Presumably there are Rotherham-like cases all over the U.K. and perhaps even in the U.S., Europe, Canada, and Australia.
