The Los Angeles Police Department has declared a citywide tactical alert after two suspects fired at a patrol car with a rifle Sunday night.
The incident occurred at 62nd and Hoover streets at around 9:20 p.m. Police say every available officer has been sent to the area.
One suspect is in custody. A perimeter was set up as officers searched for the second suspect.....

Of course, national media ignores it and instead reports about the Michael Brown memorial being called trash...

I would venture to guess there is probably a reason for that.
The LAPD responded in force when their own were shot at, that’s one thing for sure.....
I haven’t seen any local media video online yet.

It doesn’t fit the narrative.
Racist white cops (be they Hispanic white or Asian white or white white) are killing unarmed black teenagers.
Can’t get out the actual black killers shooting at police story. That would be racist.
Where I live the local media refuses to give the race of perps. So it’s, “The bank down the street was robbed by 2 men in their 20s...” and no physical description.
Doesn’t matter that the public is in danger and might be killed. At least they didn’t have a ‘racist’ news story perpetuating that blacks are committing crime.

Every one knows it. The rest are mere details.
The description of the situation involves “every available officer” being sent to the area. The “tactical alert citywide” thing must mean officers from all over the city being sent to the scene.
Sure hope there aren’t any little old ladies driving blue pickups in the area.
That area is just north of me. Not a big urban area.
